Artist: Aladdin Alhassoun, Born and raised in Aleppo, Alhassoun is a prolific painter who works with a broad range of materials. The artistic process for Alhassoun is as much a means to conceal opinions and feelings as it is a vehicle to reveal them. Shapes, figures and rhythms in his work vanish or transform almost as quickly as they emerge. This dynamic is the product of the artist's justifiable concern with maintaining control over how he chooses to express his experiences.
