Aka George K Muuru was born in Ngecha Kiambu county Kenya in 1958. Educated through Ngecha primary, Nyahururu boys, Kirangari high school to Kenya polytechnic for a diploma . Worked for a time with Raymond’s, Agip, Mumias sugar etc. . . 
ART; Started my art interest from an early age but became a full time artist in the early 90s. With the mentor ship of art masters from Ngecha such as Sane Wadu and Wanyu Brush. Have participated in many local and international workshops, exhibitions organized by the National Museums of Kenya, Gallery Watatu, Kuona trust , Ngecha artists association to name but a few. Am a painter and a sculptor. I was a founder member and the secretary of Ngecha artists association. Was also the founder of Ngecha annual art festival . A historian and a Gikūyū poet am currently the Director and Curator of Ngecha art centre Gīkūyū Museum.
